The design provides both efficient storage and improved game play. Many of the trays can be utilised during the game, and they greatly aid set-up and clear-away times. The rules and boards act as a lid on top of the trays.
The full colour print really brings the trays to life, tying them in with the theme of the game and making it easier to see which components go where.
The trays are arranged in up to two layers, with a gap in one corner for the action board overlays and special ability tiles. Each player receives their own player tray and there is space for all card decks to be sleeved with quality sleeves.
Every tray includes images from the rulebook or game cards and boards.
The images greatly improve the look of the trays, but also help in game clear up as you can instantly see what goes where.
When packing the box, first place the player boards in the recess provided, with the map overlay sheet on top so that it partially overlaps the dice tray. Next add the main game board, followed lastly by the rule books. This fully fills the box without any lid lift and allows for vertical storage of the game.
